About me
Dr. Ndegwa is a specialist general surgeon, renowned for his compassionate approach and unwavering commitment to delivering exemplary surgical care and optimal patient outcomes. Dr. Ndegwa earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Newcastle in 2011. Following his graduation, he completed his pre-vocational internship and senior resident medical officer years, rotating through the Northern Beaches' hospitals, Royal North Shore Hospital, and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. He subsequently embarked on specialist general surgery training at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, where he discovered a profound interest and passion for Upper GI and Hepatobiliary Surgery.
Dr. Ndegwa is trained in robotic minimally invasive hernia, small bowel, and colon surgeries, ensuring that patients experience swift post-operative recovery and a prompt return to their daily activities. As a GESA-accredited interventional endoscopist, he conducts both gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures. His enthusiasm for the medical field extends beyond the operating room, as he actively engages in both medical and surgical research. Dr. Ndegwa has completed a Post-doctorate Master’s in Surgery and remains deeply committed to advancing surgical education. He is passionate about mentoring junior doctors and medical students, inspiring the next generation of medical professionals with his knowledge and dedication.
